Origin Wines represents the Okanagan as Blake and Daiya’s birthplace where their roots and passions have led them back to share their love of wine and farming with others.
You could say, wine has always found a way of weaving itself throughout our lives. Blake’s parents, Pat and Aaron owned and planted the original vineyard which is now Moraine Estate Winery. Daiya’s parents, Vickie and Ed, had an orchard on Road 9 in Oliver with Ed having worked in the fruit industry for the entirety of his life.
Wine also, coincidentally, intertwined itself throughout Blake and Daiya’s relationship. From meeting at a vineyard party, to Blake proposing with a bottle of the first vintage from Mistral Vineyard, to eventually getting married and pursuing the shared goal of living in the Okanagan and raising a family.
At Origin, we are intensely passionate about the artistry and science of wine as well as the Okanagan Valley experience and lifestyle. We feel honoured to be but a piece of the mosaic that makes this incredible Valley our forever home and can’t wait to share our story of wine and beyond with you.
